We're pleased to share an update on our progress on the re-roofing of the Holgate Depot in York.
York Holgate is the biggest NWR maintenance Depot in the country. NWR rail have instructed Colt construction to refurbish the roof and welfare facilities to the whole of the depot.
Colt have instructed Orchard roofing and building to carry out the roof replacement.
The new roof is to be Kingspan insulated metal profile sheets with roof lights and new gutters throughout. The roof is the largest refurbished roof Kingspan have ever supplied in excess of 45,000m2 of roof sheets with out any exterior cladding to the walls.
We have also replaced all the valley gutters with new insulated and lined gutter system with a part symphonic drainage system and gravity system.
With all new purlins and cleats with additional bracing added to the existing trusses.
